About 57 Coaches

57 Coaches is a world-wide collective of Integral Coaches™, all of who are certified by Integral Coaching Canada®, a premier coaching development school accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). All our coaches speak English and half of us can additionally coach in a second or third language. We all abide by the ICF Code of Ethics. Although some of us have specialized, we are trained to coach in almost any niche and most of us have experience in coaching leaders. What we share is skill and heart to have your back when you are taking a leap forward to make change that matters.

In our first project, 75 coaches from 20 countries on five continents provided approximately 1000 pro bono coaching sessions to 100 leaders in an NGO supporting refugees from the 2015 crisis.

What participants in our first project say about us

I think this was one of the best opportunities I have ever had.

I don’t want my coaching sessions to end! They have been so helpful. I really looked forward to every coaching session no matter how busy I was because of the value that every single interaction offered. I am so thankful to 57 Coaches for this fantastic programme and particularly to my coach who has enabled me to be a more authentic version of me who can offer more to others and myself. I felt privileged to benefit from such a world-class coaching program.

I am incredibly grateful to have had this opportunity. I had heard from colleagues that the calibre of the coaches and the experience was very high, but it was another thing altogether to do it myself! I can’t say enough about how much appreciate 57 Coaches!

I just appreciate my coach taught me things that will be beneficial to me as a leader and as a person that I will use throughout my lifetime.

A lot of what has been important to me is not so much in letting me do things I could not do before, but in skills to do them with a level of comfort and ease that reduce my stress levels and allow me to do more of them. It’s helped me to focus on what is important to me in my work, and that has made me overall more motivated and focused.

This program has made a big difference to my work and personal life over the last months. When I started the program I was at a real low point in terms of stress and the negative consequences of that were really making themselves visible in my work and personal life. Now, I feel more myself than I have in a very long time.

I am deeply grateful for this incredible opportunity to work pro bono with a coach. It has genuinely supported me in the most invaluable ways, and is something I don’t think I ever would have accessed if it were not for 57 Coaches Project. Having such dedicated, expert support to help me understand myself, and how I can improve my capacity to work in service, at a key moment in my life, has been such a gift. Thank you for your dedication, for offering this unique opportunity to us, and for doing it with such grace and skill – I feel better equipped to offer my contribution through my work because of it.

I gained immensely from the interaction and have a much wider and deeper perspective of the world around me.

This opportunity saved my life actually.

The coaching programme has been a huge success for me, it is so precious and a huge privilege. Her wise counsel, her questions, her deliberate surfacing of what matters, the way she plays things back that she hears and focuses in on what I might otherwise avoid – has been hugely helpful. She has also been incredibly supportive and encouraging. I owe her and 57 Coaches a huge debt of gratitude at a time of great change personally and professionally. THANK YOU.

What our coaches say

What moved you to be part of the 57 Coaches Kairos initiative?

In short, because it is 57 Coaches. I know the founders of this group and its members – all are insightful, skilled and care deeply about giving back and making a difference. We are all trained as Integral Coaching Canada coaches; our lineage asks that we do our part to alleviate suffering where we can. I have been part of the impact of 57 coaches in the past, and did not hesitate for a moment to volunteer for this initiative. For if not now, in this critical moment, when? And if not us, who? – Kathleen Mitchell-Jensen, MA, Integral Master Coach™, PCC

I want to be of service, make a difference, get some experience and potentially get a client who wants a full coaching programme – Antony Gardy South Africa

There is a lot of suffering in the world and the being in human being is what is important to me meaning decreasing the suffering by embodying new ways of approaching issues we have . The integral way of coaching from Integral Coaching Canada takes an integral approach that brings about sustainable change. – Nirvishi Jawaheer Canada

Very soon, after the lockdown about Covid started, I realised that life was giving us an opportunity to stop, reflect, and start some new ways of living. I remember thinking, “do we really want to go back to ‘normal’ life? How can we manifest a new reality in a collective way beyond our personal lives?” I was having this internal call to do something about it, and then I got invited to participate in the information meeting of 57 Coaches, which matched perfectly with my wish and capacity, so I joined. – Erika Pacheco C. (Colombian living in The Netherlands)

Desire to help in such dramatic times. It is clear than ever that we need greater, deeper, wisest contributions of us all in this world to face not only what is coming, but to honour the privilege we are given as light in this Kosmos. To support in a worldwide project like this one, in supporting the emergence of light fills my heart joyously. Empowering to awaken potential to what each of us can manifest is uniquely beautiful. – Isaac Carreras Olivé – Catalonia

I joined this initiative for the same reason I was called to Integral Coaching® – an enduring love of problem-solving in the context of complex human dynamics. The other reason was a desire to support Changemakers. Everyone working on being more conscious is a Changemaker. But for leaders and those initiating structures, the impact is, of course, exponentially larger. – Rezzan Huseyin, UK

It is easy to feel small and inadequate in the face of challenges such as climate change, income inequality, populism, conspiracy theories, systemic racism – and now COVID-19. When I helped mobilize 57 Coaches to support a global NGO supporting refugees in the crisis of 2015, I got to see how when we come together, we can make a difference through those we support. This is a year in which old ways of doing things are crumbling -and in which it is possible to establish new, healthier ways. I am inspired to do what I can to support those dedicating their lives to positive change. – Sunil Singh, Integral Master Coach™, Norway

I realized when I took the Apprenticeship course, years ago, that Integral Coaching Canada had the potential to change the world in a positive way. I still remember how excited I was and I absolutely had to be a part of that. When I learned at one of the Integral Coaching Canada workshops what the original 57 Coaches group had done, I promised myself that I would try to participate in any future efforts. When the call went out, I jumped at the chance to join. – Dorothy J. Zukor, USA

In the context of the global pandemic, increased political polarity, and rampant social injustice, providing individual coaching support to change makers aligns perfectly with who I am and what I stand for as a person and professional. Right away, I could see the amazing potential of this talented group of multilingual coaches to reach and accompany people doing important work towards the creation of a more sustainable and just world, who might not normally have the opportunity to work with a coach. – Aimee Maron (Quito, Ecuador)

I have been feeling that I needed to participate in more groups of like-minded people to do some good in the world. I admire the work that 57 Coaches is doing, and the Kairos initiative is so timely (so Kairos!) that it is a no-brainer for me to join it. I am honored to be able to contribute my grain of sand to that initiative. – Paul Antaki, Brazil

The opportunity to support those working on the front line. I know from experience that they do great work, see the world’s injustices on a daily basis; may/maynot experience burn out – but this is my contribution to support those who do good work. – Christine Guchu, Kenya

We are all called to reflect who we choose to be in these challenging times where we need to come together again and reinvent ourselves as a whole. Working with change makers will allow us to create ripple effects within local communities. – Tom Koninckx (Belgium)

The objective of the Kairos project resonates strongly with me. My personal purpose is to give a contribution to a more sustainable and better world. The Integral model of Ken Wilber including the Spiral Dynamics model of Don Beck is supporting me in doing this as well as my ICC education. I feel very proud about this second initiative of integral coaches around the globe to give voluntary support to changemakers in the world. I also appreciate very much that we are doing this together and so can have a real impact that I alone cannot have. – Leida Schuringa (Netherlands)

How has learning the Integral Coaching® method changed your own life?

Nothing short of transformative – for me, my work and my relationships. I found myself through Integral Coaching Canada, and instead of “going through the motions”, I fully took my seat in my “one wild and precious life”. I better understand the light and shadows of individuals and their relationships, and the dynamic nature of adult development. The rigor of the method has also strengthened my skill-set so that I am better able to support and encourage others’ development. – Kathleen Mitchell-Jensen, MA, Integral Master Coach™, PCC

I’ve gained so much invaluable information about myself and others and what makes us tick 🙂 – Antony Gardy South Africa

I apply it in every aspect of my life. I have an awareness of others and myself that makes me more mindful to the world around me and I am very grateful to have tools that bring about change in myself and others . It is an inner journey that is making me a more fulfilled person. – Nirvishi Jawaheer Canada

After many years of walking a personal path of inner growth, and studying Transpersonal Psychology (also based on Integral Model), it was still a bit vague for me how to use this tools in a concrete way of serving others in their developmental path. The Integral Coaching Canada method gave me a useful and effective structure to do so. Keeping also the possibility to navigate it in a ‘live’, creative and deep way during the encounters. I am glad to find this new way that allows me to serve and develop my professional field in a more meaningful way, more aligned with my soul. – Erika Pacheco C. (Colombian living in The Netherlands)

There are multiple ways of offering oneself to the world and those in need, but with the structure, skill and heart learned through Integral Coaching Canada the impact is far touching for oneself and those who we reach. There’s an elegant simplicity in structure, an intimate secure container to explore and a field of possibility that awakens hearts to what is possible, needed and called. – Isaac Carreras Olivé – Catalonia

It’s drastic and subtle and ongoing all at once. I think the biggest thing has been having this robust structure for transformation. No other transformation modality has offered the same completeness and pragmatism. – Rezzan Huseyin, UK

Management Consultant Peter Drucker said, “The most important thing in communication is hearing what isn’t said.” We each see the world through different lenses, with our unique set of blind spots. If I am your coach and I buy in to what you’re telling me at face value, I will hold the same blind spots that you do. If I try to look at your situation with neutrality and objectivity, may ignore my own blind spots, miss something important, and recommend that you try something that isn’t right for you and your context. I have been trained by Integral Coaching Canada to look systematically at a coaching topic through eight sophisticated lenses, bringing light to what’s already strong and what specific next steps might create the most movement. Together, we define in just a few words and with great specificity descriptions of your current state, your desired future state and first steps along the path. This has become the foundation of how I approach any coaching, organizational or change-management challenge. I used to see blind spots as deficiencies. I now see how our bringing different perspectives allows us collectively to see a more nuanced picture of the whole. – Sunil Singh, Integral Master Coach™, Norway

It made me a more non-judgmental listener. Allowed me to see the world from many different viewpoints, not just the viewpoints I grew up with. It also taught me how to have some difficult conversations with family and friends without destroying the relationship. I have been able to see first hand, the positive changes that my clients have made in their own lives from being coached using this method. I have been very gratified and humbled by that. I have learned that I will always be a work in progress (pretty good for an enneagram “type 1”), to be more gentle with myself and to appreciate the silent whispers. On a more personal note, the skills I learned in dealing with a client in a difficult situation were helpful while helping my mother pass from this world. She had her bubble and I had mine. I could not support her in her final journey if I was trying to suffer with her. Many times after a particularly difficult visit, I would be walking back to my car, I would say to myself “pull yourself together, you can do this, you are an Integral Coach.” – Dorothy J. Zukor, USA

Learning this method has allowed me to more effectively meet people where they are at in their personal development processes. And, perhaps most importantly, while learning this method, I have grown to see myself as an ever-evolving being able to transform difficult relationships and focus my energy on what is most important to me. – Aimee Maron (Quito, Ecuador)

The Integral Coaching Canada method is … robust; precise; useful. It has changed my life in many ways, helping me situate myself and navigate (not breeze through) my own complexities and development. It has been instrumental in giving me structure and resources to transform my life as best I can. – Paul Antaki, Brazil

Literally saved my life. Integral Coaching Canada came when I needed real holistic support to navigate a challenging season in my life. The method, the principles, and the spirit of Integral Coaching Canada was life changing. – Christine Guchu, Kenya

The Integral Coaching® method taught me to be with the unknown and hold complexity in a wholehearted way. It allowed me to embody all what I did before in a more coherent way. And as such it helped me to find the strength to hold my purpose in life. – Tom Koninckx (Belgium)

I learned a new way of coaching that in my experience is very effective. So, I became a better coach. I also learned a very practical way of integrating the integral model in my work. – Leida Schuringa (Netherlands)

Based on your experience, what tells you that we can make a difference?

I have witnessed the difference time and time again. In working with hundreds of clients, using the Integral Coaching® method, I have seen people become clearer, more courageous and capable to realize the change they want to see in the world. 57 Coaches is a global team of experienced, savvy and highly skilled coaches, informed by the world’s most integrated and comprehensive approach to adult development. When matched with changemakers who are seizing the moment to make the changes we need in the world, there is no doubt that we can propel change forward in sustainable way. – Kathleen Mitchell-Jensen, MA, Integral Master Coach™, PCC

I have seen the lives of people I have coached and myself change with this approach. We create a safe space for interaction and partner fully with the person we are coaching. The awareness of the current way we approach what we would like to work on and the journey together on the path of change with development objectives and a vision of a new way of being is a great support and vector for sustainable change. – Nirvishi Jawaheer Canada

I am convinced that for manifesting a positive change in humanity we need to start by each own personal (and transpersonal) transformation. 57 Coaches is serving to that aim. The change makers benefiting from the program are transforming themselves in which ever area they need to develop or get strengthened; and this, at the end, will have a good effect in their fields of action. – Erika Pacheco C. (Colombian living in The Netherlands)

From my experience around the community of Integral Coaching Canada coaches I felt a field of potential like any other group I have been around. United, collaborating with each other, contributing with our own gifts in a robust methodology gives birth to something unique to transform. – Isaac Carreras Olivé – Catalonia

My experience is that any time that people convene around a common goal/purpose, it reorganizes things in some way. ‘Making a difference’ is at times invisible and unrecognizable/ unexpected. My general preference is to attach to process rather than outcome. – Rezzan Huseyin, UK

I think a lot of what is going on in the world is the result of outdated systems. But systems are designed by people and people won’t change systems, or call for change until it is important to them. One of the basic questions Integral Coaching Canada always asks in is “why do you want to make this change?” You have to start person by person and I am hopeful that those change agents that we as a community work with can help make the positive change happen. On a more cynical note, I have seen how much damage one person can do. I would hope that one person can also do a lot of good. – Dorothy J. Zukor, USA

I find the Integral Coaching® method to hold a beautiful tension between rigor and creativity that supports people to make sustained change in their life. – Aimee Maron (Quito, Ecuador)

Success, from my coachees’ feedbacks, has been a transformation in the way they are dealing with their lives, not necessarily “resolving” their topic. And that, for me, is real work on self. Integral Coaching® goes deep, lasts long, transforms. – Paul Antaki, Brazil

The Integral Coaching Canada method changed my life, and I know from feedback from coachees, it changes – no transforms their lives. I am sure being there for people on the frontline is transformative. – Christine Guchu, Kenya

I see the impact in my own coaching practice, so bringing all this potential together in a collective field with a shared purpose can only create more impact. The cross-fertilization that will happen will for sure build new connections and create more leverage. – Tom Koninckx (Belgium)

Our strength is that we all have the same basis and are working in the same way. We understand each other as integral coaches, we know where we are talking about. We all went through the same container that in my eyes leads to reliable professional coaches and we form a strong organisation. – Leida Schuringa (Netherlands)
